According to the general director of the hotel, Oleg Toropkin, this choice was influenced by the personnel problem in the catering sector: a complete shortage of cooks, waiters and other employees. In the current situation, this can only be solved by increasing labor productivity.
“In addition, for the period 2024-2026 we plan to expand the kitchen and restaurant facilities. We would like to obtain a synergistic effect of two projects: our reconstruction project and the national project to increase labor productivity,” said Oleg Toropkin. .
The hotel management also hopes to reduce production losses and defects in staff work, which will contribute to increasing the volume and quality of services.
The national project “Labor Productivity” has been carried out in the Novosibirsk region since 2019. Starting from March 2024, its participants can be hotels, spa organizations, travel agencies and cultural and recreational parks with revenues of 180 million rubles per year. In the region, 147 companies participate in the national project, four of them from the tourism sector.
