Kerch Residents Heard Loud Explosions The Authorities Announced the “Air Defense Work”

Residents of Kerch told Krym.Realii that on the night of the 18th of August, they heard loud sounds similar to explosions.

Kerch City residents living near Chuhuiv are also reporting the sounds of explosions.

At about 9:30 pm on October 25, Kerch citizens noticed the first sound of “explosions” emanating from the ground near the airport. Shortly after, there were reports of shaking windows and people crying out in fear that what had previously been a war zone could now become a victim of world war 3.

The administrators of the U-stream service state that, at 20:56 on Saturday night, another powerful sound was heard. Two seconds later, a flash of fire appeared in the sky and then disappeared after two seconds.

According to the publication “Kerch Info”, loud explosions may have been heard in Kerch on the day of military exercises. The Russian military did not report on these noises, and government officials in Russia did not comment on them either.

Oleg Kryuchkov, the adviser to Russian Crimean chief Sergei Aksenov, commented on the situation in Kerch.

The defense minister of Russia said there is no danger to Kerch or the bridge.

On the morning of August 16, explosions struck Dzhankoy from 3 am in the morning until 5 am. The explosions targeted ammunition depots, a transformer substation, and damage to the railway. Russian authorities evacuated as many as 3,000 residents from an area near Mayskoye village in the Dzhankoy district that was struck.

After a controversial referendum in the Crimea region of Ukraine, Russia claims the shore was sabotaged with 10 devices near the Kerch Strait. The Russian Defense Ministry has opened a criminal case and is not releasing any information on suspects or detainees at this time.

The latest explosions in Crimea are considered to be acts of terrorism and a severe violation of Russia’s international commitments.

Ukraine is under attack by unknown forces. This occurred after a high-ranking Ukrainian military official claimed that an elite military unit was involved in the attacks near Dzhankoy in occupied Crimea. He did this on the condition of anonymity.

As well, on August 16th, according to Russian media, there were explosions at the Russian military airfield in the village of Gvardeyskoye, Simferopol region of Crimea. Local residents said that the explosion occurred on the territory of a military camp, presumably in a barracks.

On August 9, more than 60 homes were damaged by a series of explosions at a military airfield in Crimea. Russian authorities said they had evacuated around 30 people from nearby houses before deciding not to carry out a general evacuation.

The Russian Defense Ministry claims that the explosions at the military airfield in Novofedorovka were caused by scattered munitions. Despite published satellite imagery of large pieces of destroyed equipment, the Russian military claims its planes were undamaged.

No one has claimed responsibility so far for the recent explosions in Crimea, which were taken over by Russia.
