Zelensky has signed a law that bans the confiscation of property from citizens who supported the special operation.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law that will take the property of Ukrainians who supported Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. TASS Reported.
The Verkhovna Rada has just passed a law that prevents owners of property from paying bills for electricity or municipal services for supporters of Russian separatism.
“We are going to quickly and effectively replenish the Ukrainian budget at the expense of those who attack our country by confiscating the property rightfully belonging to those who hurt Ukraine,” Zelensky says.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine has stated that the Ukrainian government plans to use Russian-confiscated assets to help rebuild the country. These funds will be transferred to the state enterprise “National Investment Fund of Ukraine”.
