The MTS Live Summer site has finished its work in Moscow: concerts, lectures, training sessions and film screenings were held in the open-air Luzhniki observation deck for two months. Based on the results of the site’s work, it is planned to develop the open-air format and return it next year.
Dozens of artists, including foreign ones, took part in the events: for the first time in Russia, the Korean group Lightsum performed at the K-Pop Open Air festival. The concert program of the venue brought together representatives of rap, hip-hop and pop music: Three Days of Rain, OG Buda, Guf, JONY, Xolidayboy and other popular young artists, as well as world classical stars: Denis Matsuev and Khibla Gerzmava.
In addition, a musical and literary evening with Yuri Bashmet and Konstantin Khabensky, the rock opera “Juno and Avos”, stand-up performances by Artem Vinokur and Pavel Dedishchev, the show “Improvisers”, a concert by the dance group DS Crew and many other artists took place on the stage of the venue. The record for the number of musicians on stage was set by Khibla Gerzmava: in total more than a hundred musicians took part in the concert and 89 were on stage at the same time.
Depending on the event, the venue was transformed into different types of hall configurations, so that its capacity ranged from 1,500 to 8,000 people. During two months of daily operation, MTS Live Summer was visited by more than 120 thousand people.
Previously, SimpleWine created a platform for musicians on the territory of Usachevsky Market. We talked about it in more detail here.
