In his opinion, the crisis in Ukraine, the conflict between Greece and Turkey, Taiwan, the situation on the Korean Peninsula or the territorial claims between India and China could become the cause of a new world war.
Farley believes that despite the unlikely scenario of a direct military confrontation between NATO and Russia in the Ukraine conflict, an escalation is still possible. In case “one of the parties” takes risky measures, the situation can escalate towards World War III, the expert concluded.
