A-Cold-Wall* and Dr. Martens launched a joint release (again). The brands made a circle and after the launch of the 1460 and 1461 models they returned to the Oxford 1461, which was already rethought in 2021 and from which their collaboration began. Hypebeast writes about it.
The model is made in black and gray colors. It’s made of water-repellent nubuck and evokes the aesthetic of the working class of the United Kingdom. Metal studs complete the design at the toe and back, while zippers replace traditional laces. The ACW* logo has been added to the standard heel tabs. Other details include branded insoles, a translucent rubber outsole and dyed-in stitching.
The collaboration pays homage to the legacy of A-Cold-Wall* and Dr. Martas. The design is dominated by the utilitarian character of A-Cold-Wall* founder, Samuel Ross.
Previously, Dr. Martens traded in the traditional punk rock style for a collaboration with bt21, cartoon characters created by Line Friends and members of BTS.
