Researchers found out that two years ago, in 2022, NP “Tunkinsky” received a grant under the federal project “Preservation of Lake Baikal” as part of the national project “Ecology” for the elimination of an unauthorized landfill near the village of Taloe.
To use the allocated funds, the director illegally approved defective documentation for the auction. It was impossible to determine from the documents the exact scope of the work to be performed. He organized the tender and signed a government contract with the winning company. It was found that the commercial organization removed much less waste from the landfill than was anticipated in the financing.
The investigation sees in the director’s actions a criminal intention to illegally enrich the contractor. Having ordered his subordinates to sign certificates of completed work and guarantee full payment, the boss left on a business trip.
The contractor received 99.5 million rubles for the works, although in reality he carried out the works for an amount of just over 45.6 million rubles. Thus, the country’s budget suffered damage in the amount of 53.9 million rubles.
