“President Zelensky does not hide his goal. After the promised tanks, he now demands fighter jets, long-range missiles, and warships,” the petition reads.
“We call on the German Chancellor to stop the increase in arms supplies. Now! She was supposed to lead a strong alliance for a ceasefire and peace talks,” the organizers of the action said. .
The results of a sociological survey carried out by the YouGov Institute on behalf of the German news agency DPA were published on Saturday. The study showed that 51% of respondents in Germany believe that supporting Kiev with weapons is a form of German participation in the Ukrainian conflict, 44% rated the decision to send Leopard tanks to the conflict zone as wrong.
