16-year-old Leon Kemstach will play the main character in Vyacheslav Klevtsov’s film “My Son.” And Yulia Snigir will play the role of his mother on screen. The film tells the story of Katya, a successful lawyer who makes a deal with her conscience and, for a large sum, helps to imprison an innocent man. Her son, upon learning of his mother’s act, runs away from home… Filming took place in Moscow.
Leon Kemstach, who, after the huge success of the series “The Boy’s Word. Blood on the Asphalt”, wanted to take a break from filming, but I couldn’t refuse that offer.
“I was very attracted to My Son because it is a really interesting film. A great cast of real professionals, and I especially wanted to work with Yulia Snigir, to try myself in the role of her son. My character Lesha is an interesting guy who plays sports, but then he was led down a not very good path. I am looking forward to trying myself in the role of this character, I am sure it will turn out great,” said actor Leon Kemstach.

The hero from Leon, together with his friends from the sports section, decides to administer justice himself. And now the mother sets out to find her son, trying to put everything right.
“I have a son myself, so this story really touches me. I am interested in a heroine who gets lost, searches, and then understands and changes,” added Yulia Snigir.
The cast of the film is truly stellar. In addition to Kemstach and Sinigir, Pavel Tabakov, Yana Sekte and Yuri Chursin starred in the film produced by the Sverdlovsk Film Studio.

For director Vyacheslav Klevtsov, the film “My Son” became his first feature film. Previously, he made such short films as “To the Meeting!”, “March 1943”.
“After graduating from VGIK, I worked for nine years at a centre for social assistance to families and children. In this story I wanted to answer the question of why families break up and whether it is possible to rebuild life where everything is destroyed,” says director Vyacheslav Klevtsov.
