The investigative department of the RF Investigative Committee for the region reported that on September 20, the bodies of the parents and their two young children, born in 2018 and 2021, without external signs of violent death, were found in an apartment in Yuryev-Polsky. district. They were found by a family member who came to check on his loved ones who had not been in contact.
“Investigators inspect the scene of the incident, question neighbors and relatives and carry out a number of other investigative and procedural actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident,” the Investigative Directorate added.
It is still unknown how long the bodies remained in the apartment, as well as the cause of the family’s death, as the results of the forensic examination are not ready.
The department said several versions of what happened are being considered, including the one expressed by neighbors: the residents of the apartment were supposedly killing cockroaches and may have overused a toxic substance. In addition, the investigation will check the condition of the gas equipment in the apartment.
