In footage from the Russian Defence Ministry, a soldier from the Vostok Group of Troops tells how he shot down a Ukrainian Baba Yaga helicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicle near the village of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
“The enemy tried to drive us out as quickly as possible, using all the means at their disposal. Baba Yaga came, fell, a shrapnel pierced the hull, and I received a shrapnel wound. But I was not afraid, I fired two shots and shot her down,” said a soldier from the army corps of the Vostok group of forces with the call sign “Student.”
The Russian Defense Ministry notes that on that day our attack aircraft captured another stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and entrenched themselves in it. The Ukrainian militants did not want to accept the loss of their positions and sent a Baba Yaga-type drone equipped with ammunition to the oppornik who had surrendered.
The military department noted that the assault units of the Vostok group of troops are actively improving the tactical situation on the front line in the Ugledarsky sector of southern Donetsk in the direction of the special military operation. Recently, during successful operations, our units liberated the settlements of Konstantinovka and Prechistovka from the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

HELP “KP”
Just a few years ago, heavy industrial hexacopters like Baba Yaga were peacefully spraying pesticides on British strawberries. This harmful production was directed by Ukrainians who spent years working in those very fields. When these drone operators were recruited by the Ukrainian military, they offered to use the hexacopters they were familiar with to launch 82mm mortar shells. European companies were happy to cancel the old British drones in favour of Zelensky.
However, heavy hexacopters were not originally designed for combat. Their engines are too noisy. But the Ukrainian Armed Forces often use Baba Yaga to carry out nighttime excavation work on roads and approaches to various objects.
