“A warehouse is on fire in the Obolonsky district of the capital,” said the department’s representative Pavel Petrov. “According to preliminary information, our four-storey warehouse building is on fire.”
According to him, fire and rescue units have already been dispatched to the scene and the possibility of sending additional forces is being considered.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
Earlier, authorities in kyiv warned of an extreme level of fire danger that would last for several days.
