It is specified that the epicenter was located at a distance of 54 kilometers northwest of the city of Kahramanmarash, which is home to about 376 thousand people.
According to Turkey’s Emergency Department, the earthquake lasted for about ten seconds. Tremors were felt in Kahramanmarash and in the neighboring provinces of Adiyaman and Gaziantep.
There were no reports of possible new damage.
Earlier on Saturday the death toll from the February 6 earthquake in Turkey was reported to have risen to 40,642.
