According to the department’s press service, a Barnaul resident reached out via social networks to Ukrainian citizens interested in recruiting Russians to commit sabotage. In communication with them, the man expressed radical opinions about the political direction of the Russian Federation and supported the Ukrainian armed forces.
“As proof of his intentions, the man poisoned the water intended for mobilized military personnel,” the FSB said in a statement. He filmed the poisoning process and sent it to Ukrainian representatives.
A resident of Barnaul was detained and sent to a pre-trial detention center, charged under articles 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempted high treason” and 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempted act of terrorism”.
