The “March of Rage against the War Machine” is organized by the Libertarian Party. Several hundred people gathered near the Lincoln Memorial in Washington even before the official start of the action.
The protesters hold Russian flags and banners with the words against ‘support Nazis in Ukraine’, one of the protesters on the banner reads ‘Biden blew up Nord Stream’.
During the action, the participants will call for an end to financial assistance to Ukraine and will also advocate a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian conflict. In addition, among the demands of the protesters is the dissolution of NATO. At the end of the action, a march is expected from the Lincoln Memorial to the White House.
Earlier on Sunday, several dozen people were reported to have taken part in a procession in the Italian city of Pisa, near the military airport, demanding to stop arms supplies to Ukraine and find a diplomatic solution to the conflict. A similar action was reported in Amsterdam, in which several hundred people carried white flags through the streets.
