The MIM-104 guided anti-aircraft missile of the Patriot complex is an extremely difficult target to intercept: it accelerates to Mach 5 and is capable of intensive maneuvers. This is the first officially confirmed case of the destruction of a Patriot missile in flight. Russian troops already have enough launchers and guidance radars.
