The fire broke out on the night of January 26. During the extinction, the bodies of the 36-year-old owner of the house, her 64-year-old mother and her 34-year-old acquaintance were found.
The investigation determined that arson had been committed. Shortly before the fire, the owner of the house had a fight with a 34-year-old cohabitant. She took offense, went out onto the terrace, sprayed it with a flammable liquid and set it on fire. After which she disappeared.
“The mother helped the children (they are seven and 16 years old) to run out into the street, after which she tried to put out the fire and save the people who were in the room. However, due to the spread of the fire, the victims were unable to leave the house,” the regional investigation department said in a statement.
A murder case was initiated (Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), the suspect was detained. The man had a prior conviction. The issue of placement of children with guardians is being resolved.
