While working on the cruise collection, Marni creative designer Francesco Risso invited his old friend Flaminia Veronesi to collaborate. The English artist with Italian roots was entrusted with the important task of presenting her vision of the floristic theme, a milestone for Marni.
Veronesi’s allegorical drawings, according to the designer, convey a certain sensuality. Dresses, skirts, shirts and T-shirts, as well as earrings, necklaces and rings are decorated with floral motifs. But not only them: mermaids and other aquatic creatures live in the world of Veronesi and Marni.
“We share a similar way of creatively dealing with reality through play,” Veronesi explained in an interview with American Vogue. “The game that occurs through touch leads us to instinctive creativity.”
Flaminia Veronesi’s clothing and jewelry for Marni are featured on TSUM, DLT and online at tsum.ru.
