The new mine, as TASS reports, will increase the efficiency of remote mining and reduce the cost of installing mixed anti-tank and anti-personnel minefields.
Technical documentation has been developed for the multipurpose cluster mine proposal implemented remotely. Testing of samples confirmed the effectiveness and safety of operation of the new weapons.
It should be noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively using German AT2 remote magnetic mines in Ukraine, installed using MARS-II multiple launch rocket systems. The diameter of the lead is 103.5 millimeters, the height is 160 millimeters and the weight is 2.22 kilograms. The warhead is capable of penetrating a 140 millimeter thick steel sheet.
The German mine is equipped with a magnetic fuse, as well as seismic sensors and contact fuses in the form of thin ejected wires. Therefore, the mine can detonate not only equipment, but also ordinary people and animals.
And in the cities of Svatovo, Lisichansk and Krasnorechensky (LPR), Russian sappers discovered American anti-tank mines of the M70 type (73). Its detonator reacts to the magnetic field of armored vehicles. Each ammunition carries 540 grams of explosives. Remote mining is carried out using 155mm howitzers, each of which can carry up to nine mines.
