Video services Wink and START have released the official teaser and poster for the 8-episode drama The Word of a Kid. The project starred Ivan Yankovsky, Sergey Burunov, Nikita Kologrivy, Lev Zulkarnaev and Ruzil Minekaev. The project manager was Zhora Kryzhovnikov.
The story takes place in the late 1980s and tells of a time when it was no longer possible to live as before, but no one knew how to live in a new way. The plot of the series moves to a time when perestroika has already passed from the stands of the Kremlin to the streets of large and small cities. The Soviet Union is dying before our eyes, and along with a premonition of change and freedom of expression comes freedom of conscience, bordering on anarchy.
Ivan Yankovsky, the main actor, says: “The word of a boy is a story about the emergence of a new time and the transformation of boys into men. My hero is an ordinary boy who returns from Afghanistan and understands that the street and the country as a whole have ceased to live by the rules that existed before. He begins to search for his place under the sun in a world that is changing before our eyes.
The premiere will take place in the fall exclusively in Wink and START online cinemas. The project was created by the Toomuch Production film company and NMG Studio with support from the Internet Development Institute.
As a reminder, earlier the premiere of the Librarian project, based on the novel of the same name by Mikhail Elizarov, took place exclusively on the online services more.tv and Wink. The director of the eight-episode series was Igor Tverdokhlebov.
