As RG was informed in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the city of Omsk, the owner of a store located in the Vhodnoy microdistrict contacted the police. According to him, during the inventory, the sellers discovered the loss of 176 chocolate bars worth 11,600 rubles.
Employees of the “Entrada” police station watched the recordings of CCTV cameras, which recorded the moments of the robbery, and as a result of operational activities, identified the suspect. He turned out to be a previously convicted 39-year-old resident of the town of Luzino. He was arrested at the place of residence.
It turned out that the man was engaged in regular theft of sweets, which he then sold to friends or passers-by at the Leninsky market in Omsk. It was also established that the suspect visited the store on Izbysheva street for the same purpose. There, in three visits, he stole 171 chocolate bars and 11 boxes of chocolates for a total of 16,000 rubles. In order not to attract attention, the man changed his clothes.
The suspect has been arrested. Two criminal cases under part 1 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft” are being investigated against him. Materials about three more episodes of similar crimes committed in November last year, the police have already sent to the court.
