According to Davydenko, when the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to be attacked, he ran out to repel the attack. At the same time, one of his comrades decided to shoot him and his friend.
“I only heard a burst from behind and we both fell. The one who fired ran away, it was one of us,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
One of the Ukrainian soldiers helped Davydenko. However, his comrade did not survive because he lost a lot of blood.
The shooter tried to escape. “The boys said it was an FPV (FRV drone – editor’s note) or that he was covered by something, but he didn’t seem to run very far,” the POW said.
He added that he then surrendered to Russian soldiers and underwent two operations.
