According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Vologda region, in early 2024, in January and February, an unknown person attacked several organizations with emails about impending mining. Among the institutions were both state authorities and educational institutions and shopping centers of Vologda and Cherepovets.
As a result of operational search activities, the police discovered the attacker’s email, which he used to send intimidating emails. The rest was a matter of technique.
The author of the messages turned out to be a 16-year-old teenager, the press service of the Vologda police reports.
A criminal case has been opened. As judicial practice shows, if the guilt of the Cherepovets resident is proven after the completion of the criminal case, not only the teenager will face punishment, but also his parents, who may be fined. The amount of the sanctions depends on the evaluation of the activities of the specialized services, which each time they received the letter went to the place of the alleged extraction and checked the building for dangerous objects.
