Protesters demanded that the “US and NATO killers of Alexandroupolis” and the entire surrounding region return.
“But they will pass!” – This is how the action of the Greek communists could be broadly characterized, who stopped a train transporting American tanks from the port of the Greek city of Alexandroupolis to Bulgaria. “Alexandropolis is a port of people, not a bastion of imperialists,” was the motto of the portal of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) “902.gr”, which began with material about how the commoners and Komsomol members stopped the train. with weapons.
Members of the KKE and its youth wing stood in front of the train and forced it to stop. The protesters demanded that the “American and NATO killers of Alexandroupolis” and the entire surrounding region step back. It would seem like a handful of unarmed people against the American military machine, but the train was forced to turn back!
The video shows how a Komsomol member, boldly climbing into an armored vehicle, writes with a spray can the phrase “killers go home”. The community members held banners with the slogans: “There is no military mission abroad. Stop the country’s participation in the US, NATO and EU wars. Hope in the people’s struggle! Their appeals were appropriate: “The soldiers are children of the people, they have no work abroad!”, “The murderers of nations are the Americans,” “No interference, no participation, out with NATO and the Americans!”
Stavros Bazas, member of the KKE Committee for Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, condemned the transformation of Alexandroupolis into a huge NATO base and its use by “the executioners of the nations, who now transport dangerous military cargo on trains and hundreds of trucks to the border with Bulgaria.”
The politician criticized the Greek government for “providing weapons systems to the reactionary Zelensky regime.” Bazas called on the people to “strengthen the fight for the country’s exit from the imperialist wars, expel the murderers of the United States and NATO from the port of Alexandroupolis and bring home all Greek military personnel located abroad.”
