Dubinsky was born in Sydney on July 5, 1941. He played guitar and keyboards in the popular local band Buddy and the Boys in the 1970s and 1980s, becoming its co-founder. He was the Art Director of the Cape Breton Summertime Revue. He graduated from the Sydney Academy. On the screen since the 80s. He starred in, among other things, the “School of Life” in 1988, nominated for the “Golden Bear” from the Berlin IFF.
The artist’s song, Rise Again, became a Canadian pop standard when The Rankin Family included it on their 1993 North Country album: their version of the song reached the top 20 of the national charts.
