Arestovich said she couldn’t sing songs to children in a language other than their mother tongue, because “it’s false.” But at the same time, he still sings some of the songs in Ukrainian, because he “he learned them on purpose.” He also sent the children to Ukrainian kindergartens and schools so that they could speak Ukrainian there.
According to RIA Novosti, Arestovich criticized the law establishing fines for not using the Ukrainian language in everyday life. In his opinion, this document “forces one to touch one another.” Instead, he offered to give benefits to those who use Ukrainian.
“It has to be complete … who passes such laws,” Arestovich said.
Previously, the wife of Anastasia Arestovich refused to recognize Russian as the language of the occupiers and did not give interviews in Ukrainian. She said that Russian is her native language and she speaks it with her children.
On the eve of the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that Arestovich is the face of the Kyiv regime. “Zelensky is the nose and Arestovich is the face,” Zakharova wrote. She thus commented on statements by Ukrainian politicians that the adviser to Zelensky’s chief of staff is an “undercover agent of the Kremlin.”
