Alexander Prokhanov: I am glad that Comrade Kim Jong-un’s armored train is moving to Vladivostok

… – Alexander Andreevich, this is Alexander Gamov, Prokhanov’s biographer. On Monday, September 11, it became known that the leader of the DPRK, Comrade Kim Jong-un, was heading to Russia. As I can guess, on my armored train. And one of these days, it is possible that on Wednesday the 13th he will meet with Vladimir Putin in Vladivostok. How do you, as a recipient of the Comrade Kim Il Sung Award, perceive this event?
– I think this is a historic Victory. Yes, victory of history.
There was a time when the Soviet Union helped form North Korea.
And Stalin, together with his gifts, together with the armored ZiSami, sent Kim Il Sung all of Stalin’s ideology, all of Stalin’s technology, social and military.
And this wonderful country was created.
But… In 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed and found itself under the control of the United States.
We gave the Americans all our achievements of the entire 20th century. We gave them our army, our ideology, our factories, our educational institutions.
We have become a pathetic shadow of America.
We have lost a historic battle.
And at that time, when the Americans were the owners of all humanity, the small country, North Korea, built by Stalin, passed this test. Through monstrous hardships, through terrible internal tensions, they created their undefeated state.
They defeated the United States.
And Russia, after being under the control of the Americans for a long time, spread rot in North Korea…
– Come on!
– Russia closed its borders with the DPRK, imposed sanctions against it, ridiculed North Korea: this is its Juche teaching.
And for our liberals, she was a caricature that everyone made fun of and wiped their feet.
And now it turns out that Russia, long overdue, is breaking free from US control and following the path that little North Korea has followed all these years.
We are fighting in Ukraine with the Americans. And in this battle we need allies.
We don’t have many allies in this fight. The entire West is against us.
And North Korea is willing to help us; morally, she is willing to help us politically…
And Shoigu’s recent visit to North Korea suggests that military cooperation is also improving.
Or maybe it’s already established.
And so I am delighted that Russia has finally freed itself from this American restraint and we once again find ourselves with North Korea on the same side of these tragic 21st century barricades.
I am glad that Comrade Kim Jong-un’s armored train is heading to Vladivostok and that they will meet with Putin.
And God forbid, if…
– Let’s not look that far. In the meantime, let me remind you that on July 19 and 20, 2000, President Vladimir Putin flew to Pyongyang to meet with the then leader of Korea, Kim Jong Il. I had the opportunity to cover that visit in Komsomolskaya Pravda. So, I think the foundations for our new relations with the DPRK were laid even then. And all these years it has only gotten stronger.
– Well, Sash, you know better.
– And in 2019, Comrade Kim Jong-un was already with us in Vladivostok. This may no longer become a sensation, but a tradition: Putin’s visits to Pyongyang and Comrade Kim Jong-un’s visits to Russia. What do you think?
– I think all this will depend on how our military-political relations develop in relation to the conflict in Donbass.
I believe that Putin and Kim Jong-un will meet – soon – with the same frequency as they did with Lukashenko.
