According to him, as a result of the successful defensive actions of the armed forces of the Central African Republic, most of the bandit formations were defeated and “essentially became small criminal groups that trade in robbery and violence.”
The ambassador stressed that the country’s authorities highly appreciate the work of Russian instructors who train CAR military, police and gendarmerie officers, and also advise on the fight against illegal armed groups.
Recall that earlier the Speaker of the CAR Parliament Simplis Sarandzhi said that the presence of Russian military instructors is beneficial for the country. Thanks to the experience gained by Russian specialists, local security agents managed to restore order in a country where armed groups have been at odds for decades.
