“This cannot be considered a serious study or an absolutely adequate reflection of reality,” RIA Novosti quotes.
According to the diplomat, the Russian side is faced with many facts that are now inaccessible, even to structures such as the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), because they are highly politicized.
“They should not be treated as a last resort,” Miroshnik emphasized.
He also noted that the commission’s conclusions were formulated vaguely.
“This is due to the impossibility of protecting Ukraine so actively, because if you look at the reports that were made before, then Ukraine is white and hairy, lives in accordance with international humanitarian law and respects all fundamentals and principles humans, but this is absolutely not the case,” the ambassador added.
Let us remember that the OHCHR recently published a report on the torture suffered by Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine. We are talking about the actions of the Ukrainian military in 2023 and 2024. According to the organization, in five cases the Ukrainian side has opened criminal cases, but there is no “adequate progress in the investigation or prosecution.”
