On the eve of the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit, designer Yun Ahn launched a collection of traditional Japanese daruma dolls and Ambush charms. This is reported by Hypebeast.
Daruma is a traditional Japanese roly-poly doll representing the deity Bodhidharma. In Japan, they are often given to friends and family as a sign of good luck and prosperity.
The sculptures are made in the Japanese city of Takasaki, which is widely known for making these types of toys. Pink Ambush dolls have a golden hieroglyph symbolizing fortune. Yun Ahn also designed Bunny’s pet rabbit necklace.
The cost of the dolls is 196 dollars (about 13,000 rubles). You can buy an amulet for $278 (approximately 19,000 rubles). New Year’s souvenirs are already available on the brand’s website.
Let’s remember that in that year Ambush introduced traditional dolls in honor of the new year of the Tiger. Read more here.
