Tibi founder and designer Amy Smilovich has published The Creative Pragmatist. It is now available for pre-order.
Smilovich’s book is a practical guide “to creating, developing and implementing ideas” for those looking for an individual style. Creative pragmatism is a philosophy that rejects the idea that “style and good looks are the same thing”, and a creative pragmatist is a person who is curious and modern, but at the same time solid and balanced.
“The Creative Pragmatist” will answer the questions “why different things in the closet make you feel confident”, how to choose clothes that you will wear all year (12 months), what are WOF (no fails, things that will not let you down) and why it is necessary to have garments from the HTH (have to have) category. He will also explain several of his style rules: “rule of 3”, “one, tone or none” and others. The publication includes illustrations by Smilovich herself.
Tibi previously presented the 2023 resort collection. Amy Smilovich, Tibi’s designer, describes it this way: “It’s not enough for a jacket to be luxurious or pants to fit well. We need clothes that evoke emotions.” Read more here.
