“In other pavilions, representatives of travel companies from the Kyrgyz Republic held business negotiations with colleagues from Russia and agreed to cooperate,” the fund said.
It should be noted that, according to the forecasts of the Association of Tour Operators of the Russian Federation, trips to Issyk-Kul in the summer of 2023 will be in stable demand among Russians. In 2022, according to the Kyrgyz Republic Tourism Development Support Fund, the flow of tourists from Russia to Kyrgyzstan increased by about 1.5 times compared to 2021.
It will also increase in 2023. In this regard, two Russian airlines announced the launch of direct flights from Moscow to Issyk-Kul on the eve of the tourist season. Unlike last year, the flights started earlier, in April, May, and there will be more.
Deputy Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Vakhrukov and Adviser to the Head of the Kyrgyz Republic Tourism Development Support Fund Maksat Usubaliev spoke at the opening of the Travel Forum.
– Traditionally, Russians preferred a beach holiday in Kyrgyzstan, on Lake Issyk-Kul. But now adventure tourism is becoming more popular: mountaineering, rock climbing, horseback riding, visiting ancient fortresses, climbing the high peaks of the Tien Shan. We can offer Russian travelers all kinds of this type of tourism, Maksat Usubaliev emphasized.
As noted in the background, the attention of the exhibition visitors was attracted by a large yurt with traditional decoration. It was very popular with adults and children.
The exhibition “Eurasia is our home” was held in the city of Sochi, in which Kyrgyz manufacturers took part. According to the National Agency for Investment (NAI) of the Kyrgyz Republic, the exhibition was held to present the achievements of joint activities of companies from the EAEU countries.
