This year, the planned work was completed in more than 20 points. Anastasia Rakova, Moscow Deputy Mayor for Social Development, announced this:
“In the framework of the modernization program, this year we started a milk kitchen project. This is very important for those mothers with small children. This year, we have already renovated 20 children’s kitchens according to a single standard. Next year We will repair more than 40 while improving the very technology of giving young children the nutrition they need.”
The total area of the points planned for modernization is almost 4.5 thousand square meters. Thus, by the end of next year, the number of points repaired according to a single standard will reach 62. Objects will be not only modern and comfortable, but also recognizable. The exterior, as well as the interior decoration, will be brought to a single standard: bright and comfortable rooms, clear navigation, waiting areas, modern equipment for storing products and much more.
The milk distribution points repair program was launched earlier this year and is being implemented by the Moscow Department of Health. For dairy kitchens, uniform standards were developed, by analogy with the uniform standard of clinics in the capital. This approach makes it possible to form a single recognizable image of urban health institutions.
City residents can get free food at milk distribution points. The support measure covers pregnant women, nursing mothers in the first six months after childbirth, children under 3 years of age, regardless of their privileged status, children from large families under 7 years of age, children with chronic illnesses under 15 years of age, as well as children with disabilities. For women, fortified juices and milk are provided, for children – milk mixtures, fruit and vegetable purees, cottage cheese and other products.
To receive preferential products, you must have a permanent registration in the capital, a compulsory Moscow medical insurance policy, temporary or permanent, and also be attached to a city clinic or antenatal clinic. The conclusion on the free distribution of products is drawn up by a doctor in a city medical organization.
You can order and order meals in the dairy kitchen online at mos.ru. The service has been available since December last year. Muscovites can choose the place of issue, the specific days of visiting the dairy distribution point, and also receive information on the volume of issued products. In addition, it became possible to order meals in a dairy kitchen under a temporary CHI policy. We also improved the algorithm for assigning a schedule, according to which children’s products from the same family are received.
You will only need to visit a medical organization to get a doctor’s opinion for free delivery of products at a dairy distribution point. For those who have already confirmed the preferential category in EMIAS and received free meals based on medical reports, the meal ordering service is automatically available on mos.ru. After placing an order, the service will generate an electronic referral, which must be presented in the dairy kitchen to receive the products.
Providing a child and a mother with free healthy food is an important social support measure being implemented in Moscow as part of comprehensive work to protect motherhood and childhood. In total, this type of support covers 325,000 people.
