On Friday, Medvedev in the semifinals had to face the first racket in the Serbian world Novak Djokovic. The Russian is in incredible shape: he participated in two tournaments in a row and won 12 matches in a row.
Medvedev made far fewer errors in the first set and Djokovic could never find a way to beat his opponent. The Russian brought the matter to victory – 6:4.
On the second delivery, Medvedev immediately took Djokovic’s serve and left him with no chance to save on his own. After an hour and 35 minutes, everything was decided: 6:4, 6:4.
Medvedev reached the final, where he will face Andrei Rublev. The last time the Russian tennis players met in the final of the ATP tournament in 2008. Then Igor Kunitsyn won the Kremlin Cup, beating Marat Safin.
