The Apple TV+ streaming service decided to cancel the thriller “Under Suspicion” starring Uma Thurman after the first season. The series was a remake of the Israeli drama False Flag. Deadline reports.
The plot of the project told about the abduction of the 21-year-old son of Catherine Newman from the hotel, which was filmed. Four British citizens who lived in the hotel became the main suspects. They then decided to team up to prove their innocence and find out who framed them. However, they do not know each other and cannot be sure that one of them is not the real kidnapper.
In addition to Thurman, “Under Suspicion” starred Georgina Campbell (“Black Mirror”), Kunal Nayyar (“The Big Bang Theory”), Noah Emmerich (“The Americans”), Elizabeth Henstridge (“Agents of SHIELD”), Tom Rhys Harris (“Knights”), Elyes Gabel (“Scorpion”) and Angel Colby (“Dancing on the Edge”).
The series has become one of Apple’s UK office’s most famous projects, alongside works like Slow Horses and The Garvey Sisters Conspiracy.
The trailer for the second season of Apple TV+’s “Invasion” was released earlier. It will premiere on August 22 via streaming.
