“From the side of the Ukrainian armed formations shelling was recorded: 07:40 on the Novoaydar settlement using MLRS HIMARS (four missiles),” the JCCC said in a statement.
The HIMARS multiple launch rocket system is a development from 1996-2000 by American companies BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin. Production of MLRS has been carried out since 2003. The installation was designed on the basis of the US Army FMTV three-axle wheeled chassis and is capable of carrying six rockets or one ATACMS operational tactical ballistic missile. The observation range of MLRS HIMARS is up to 80 kilometers.
