Due to the incident, several aircraft had to divert to other airfields. Intraregional flights suffered delays.
“Such an incident indeed occurred. An An-12 cargo plane of JSC ASC Sibnia-Test, which was transporting cargo from Khabarovsk to Chukotka, skidded off the runway at Magadan airport. The plane from Moscow headed to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, to an alternative airfield. The flight from Novosibirsk also could not land. Flights to Evensk, Keperveem and Pevek were delayed,” said Dmitri Sivolobov.
At the moment, the problem with the cargo plane is almost solved: it is being pulled out with a trawl net.
