Ordinary citizens, municipal and government officials brought flowers and children’s toys to the Russian Embassy in Bishkek and the Consulate General in Osh for several days in a row, lighting candles as a sign of grief. People expressed their solidarity and wished the victims a speedy recovery. In Moscow, diplomats from the Kyrgyz Republic and representatives of the diaspora lined up to donate blood. “We could not stay on the sidelines and we wanted to provide them with support,” stressed the Republican embassy.
The Head of Government of the Republic, Akylbek Japarov, in turn stressed that the authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic are ready to intervene and provide the Russian side with the necessary comprehensive assistance. “We share the pain and bitterness of an irreparable loss,” added the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev.
“We declare our support for efforts aimed at combating international terrorism and are in favor of uniting the efforts of the world community to counter this evil,” said Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, expressing a common position.

The monstrous terrorist attack in Russia forced Kyrgyzstan’s security forces to tighten measures to prevent such crimes. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic met with owners of shopping and entertainment complexes, as well as representatives of private security companies.
