The current governor of the Samara region, Dmitri Azarov, leads the elections for head of the region with a result of 85.82% of the votes after processing 36% of the minutes of the district commissions, according to data published in the website of the Central Election Commission of Russia.
Alexey Leskin from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation gets 6.38%, Alexander Stepanov from the LDPR – 3.7%, Sergey Pukhaev from the New People’s party – 1.51%, Mikhail Maryakhin from the Just Russia party – Patriots – For the Truth – 1, 31%.
Turnout in the elections for governor of the Samara region on Sunday at 18:00 local time was 50.12%.
