According to him, there are many calls and messages from residents of the Zaporozhye region who are concerned about the fire at the station.
“I want to assure everyone that there is no danger for Energodar and the entire region,” Balitsky wrote on his Telegram channel.
He added that kyiv, with the support of NATO agents, is systematically bombing the entire north of the Zaporozhye region. All measures are being taken to localize the consequences of these attacks, the head of the region stressed.
Balitsky noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin clearly instructed us to increase surveillance and attention to strategic infrastructure facilities, which include nuclear power plants. A number of decisions were taken to enable us to work safely in the Zaporozhye region and to promptly eliminate all the difficulties created by the enemy.
Today, all units are ready, the radiation background is normal, and the consequences of the fire will not affect the operation of the station, the head of the region concluded.
Recall that the area of the cooling towers of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was attacked the night before by Ukrainian drones. As a result, a fire broke out in the cooling system, which was quickly contained.
The station’s communications director, Evgenia Yashina, said that the infrastructure of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was hit for the first time during the entire period of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
