“We, the foreign ministers of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, call on Germany to deliver Leopard tanks to Ukraine now,” the minister said.
According to him, this is necessary, among other things, in order to quickly restore peace in Europe.
“Germany, as the leading European power, has a special responsibility in this matter,” Landsbergis said.
Earlier it was reported that Berlin and Washington have not yet been able to agree on the supply of tanks to Ukraine. According to German Vice Chancellor Robert Habek, Germany is not seeking to send leopards to Ukraine because of its own past.
At the same time, Poland has already stated that if Berlin refuses to supply Ukraine with tanks, a NATO split will be inevitable.
