This was announced on Friday in a group on the center’s social network. The cubs are only 7-10 days old, weighing just over 800 grams. At this age, they are at high risk of health complications.
“RG” said that in the Komi district, policemen rescued three bear cubs. The logging job scared the mother bear. She ran away from the den, leaving her newborns behind. Stopping to rest, the woodcutters heard screeching, found the children, and led them away. Rescuers have already given the pups names: Grumpy, Fat Man and Sunshine.
The Orphan Bear Rescue Center added that, together with the Wildlife Hospital, specialists began to fight for the lives of the babies. They also thanked everyone who rescued and cared for the puppies, as well as the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Republic for prompt assistance in preparing all the necessary documents for the transfer and transportation of the puppies.
