The partners, BelTA reports, have determined a list of activities for 2023-2026 aimed at implementing the agreement between the government of the Republic of Belarus and the administration of the Russian region on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
Commenting on the main areas of effective cooperation, the head of the Kirov region also focused on using the great potential of the brotherly country in the field of mechanical engineering, technology in animal husbandry and vegetable cultivation. “We are ready to start creating joint ventures,” Sokolov said.
In his opinion, Western sanctions against the State of the Union only have the opposite effect. “When they tried to put pressure on us in the past, we successfully implemented important economic projects, we made breakthroughs in space. I hope that the potential of Belarus and Russia together will provide a new surplus product,” he stressed.
Sokolov recalled that “a very good scientific and educational potential” has been formed in the region, and invited Belarusian teachers and students to joint scientific developments on the basis of local universities. In addition, the Russians, according to him, will be interested in the achievements of the Belarusians in the field of electronics and chemistry. “We also have our successes in these areas, and this is exactly the case when two plus two is more than four,” the governor of the Kirov region is convinced.
In turn, Ivan Krupko told reporters that a representative delegation of the Republic of Belarus is currently in Kirov, which includes heads of sectoral ministries, various concerns and companies. According to him, within the framework of the partner meeting, “MTW will sign an agreement for the supply of more than 250 tractor heads.”
Specialists from Gomselmash, AMKODOR, Mozyrsoli and Spartak also came with their cooperation program. They are ready “not only for the supply of products, but also for the joint development of import substitution, the creation of joint ventures,” Krupko stated, adding that cooperation with Russian regions is very important for the Gomel region. .
