The large-scale dialogue of partners within the framework of the forum, the agency clarifies, is carried out in continuation of the contacts and agreements reached during the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko to the banks of the Volga in early February of this year.
Belarusian companies are also showing great interest in the current visit. On the first day of the forum, more than a hundred company representatives declared for the event. And on Wednesday, the guests are already scheduled to visit the flagships of the domestic industry: MTZ, MAZ, BELAZ, Belkommunmash, where the possibilities of joint exports will also be announced.
According to Cherkasov, the region has been actively interacting with the Belarusian industry for the second year. And the results of effective work are becoming real. The commercial turnover between the partners began to increase. The Russians received contracts in completely different areas – from the nuclear industry and mechanical engineering to joint projects in the field of chemistry and cosmetics.
In addition, a joint venture with Belkommunmash already manufactures products in the region. And as a result: Russian-Belarusian trams successfully serve passengers in the Nizhny Novgorod region. But the horizons of cooperation are much broader.
The Russians’ plans include cooperation with the Belarusians in the agro-industrial sector, said Ivan Razuvaev, general director of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry, adding that the region is one of the leaders in this segment. Also, according to him, “Belarus is interested in agricultural machinery, various types of fertilizers, technologies in the field of agriculture.”
