Ukraine’s chargé d’affaires in Belarus Olga Timush was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She was lodged a strong protest and sent a note regarding the violation of the state border by unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Ukrainian territory.
The Belarusian side demanded that comprehensive measures be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, during a trip to the region, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine grossly violated the airspace of the Republic of Belarus. In this regard, the forces of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces were brought to increased combat readiness. At an altitude of 1.5 km and a range of 6.5 km, the air defence forces destroyed several targets on the territory of Belarus. Minsk believes that these were attack drones, BelTA reports.
