“By decision of the President, based on the findings and assessment of the situation, border guards continue to perform tasks in an enhanced border service regime,” BELTA quoted Molostov as saying.
According to him, the situation on the southern borders of Belarus remains difficult in terms of protecting the state border, as hostilities continue on the adjacent side, in Ukraine.
The density of explosive barriers on the Ukrainian side, near the border with Belarus, is increasing. First of all, the main directions of traffic towards the checkpoints and main roads are blocked, the source of the publication said.
In addition, the density of reconnaissance of Belarusian territory is maintained, including with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles.
At the same time, Molostov noted a significant decrease in the number of provocations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In recent days, there have been no new provocations near the state border, nor any preconditions for their implementation.
Earlier, the State Border Committee of Belarus was informed that an increase in the number of Ukrainian military personnel, including special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, has been recorded on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. The grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has increased in the area of responsibility of the Zhytomyr border detachment. It was noted that several units, including those equipped with heavy weapons, are concentrated in kyiv.
