Belarusian graces returned from Omsk with six awards – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

More than 130 gymnasts from ten countries participated in the “Eugenia Cup 2024” award ceremony, including the Union State, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Serbia, BelTA was informed by the National Gymnastics Association.

In the final of the individual events, the Belarusian gymnast Daria Verenich won twice, winning silver in the club and ribbon exercises. Her partner Anastasia Salos also reached the podium twice, winning bronze in ball and clubs.

“I come to Omsk for the second time,” Verenich shared with journalists. “I really like everything here: the hall, the stadium and, most importantly, the support here is very good. In short, the tournament is organized at this place. At the highest level, it seems that the people of Omsk love rhythmic gymnastics.”

According to the judges’ protocols, the third step of the podium according to the results of the basketball program was occupied by the Belarusian athlete Alina Rechkina. Also, in group exercises, the second result was shown by Karina Ermolenko, Dana Chaevskaya, Lolita Matskevich, Polina Alexandrova and Arina Tsitsilina.

It should be noted that, according to the results of the competition, Russia won 22 medals, seven of which were won by gymnasts from Omsk.
