BHSAD students filmed an alternative campaign for Trend Island department store

The result of a joint collaboration between students from the British Higher School of Design (BHSAD) and Trend Island department store was the creation of an alternative campaign. He was inspired by the summer collections of famous brands presented in a Moscow department store.

This creative project was the result of the work of students from the Fashion Shooting Producer and Styling and Image Making programs curated by Anna Rykova and Nina Lobykina. The students gave the campaign a fresh look and unique aesthetic that reflects their own inspiration and creative personality.

The association with Trend Island has been a source of inspiration for the students and an opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of a professional film environment during their studies. Working hand in hand with one of the most popular department stores, the students were able to implement creative ideas and integrate the knowledge gained during the learning process into the project. This is not the first experience of collaboration between British and local brands. Previously, students have successfully designed photo shoots for other major Russian brands.

“In the modern fashion industry, it is especially important to develop new talent and give them the opportunity to work with real clients and projects. Our joint project provides students with valuable work experience and direct contact with the industry. We believe that investing in the future of the fashion industry and supporting young talents is the key to its prosperity,” Nikolay Konstantinov, CEO of Trend Island department store.

On 6 July, the British College of Art and Design will launch the campaign as part of the Fashion Photography Formula for Success public talk, where representatives from Trend Island, UK curators and the students themselves will share their impressions and they will discuss the results of the joint creative process. In addition, the experts will talk about the current features and common mistakes in the work and communication of the film crew with the brand.
