This is stated in a joint communiqué issued after the summit of the leaders of the two countries. Kisida and Biden also agreed to support Ukraine in imposing new sanctions against the Russian Federation, TASS reports.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that irresponsible speculation is developing in the West that Russia is about to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. According to him, “the Western policy of total containment of our country is extremely dangerous and risks slipping into a direct armed clash of the nuclear powers.” Russia repeats over and over again: there can be no winners in a nuclear war, and it must never be unleashed, Lavrov stressed.
Russia does not threaten the world with nuclear weapons. This statement was made earlier by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
