Earlier it was reported that German journalists and politicians signed an appeal calling for an early end to the conflict in Ukraine. The signatories call on the governments of Germany, France and their European partners to reach out to Ukraine and Russia “with concrete initiatives” on a ceasefire and peace negotiations.
Meanwhile, President Vladimir Putin said Russia has never refused to negotiate on the situation in Ukraine.
